Scholarship Regulations

RESIDENCY: Applicants must be a resident of Nova Scotia.

NOT RENEWABLE: Milne scholarships are not renewable, but by approval of the Board, are awarded one year at a time.

APPLICATIONS MUST BE COMPLETE: A complete application will include an up-to-date resume, an official university transcript or a PDF of your complete high school record, a quality head and shoulders JPEG, an essay on the scholarship, and a fully completed Applicant Information form.

FORMAT: All documents must be up-to-date and submitted as PDFs contained in a single email. Please do not send zip files or links to Google Docs, Drive or other file hosting services.

APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY DEADLINES: Documents must be in satisfactory digital form.

NUMBER OF SCHOLARS: The Board will decide the total number of scholarships to be awarded in a year. Available dollars play a big role in this decision.

KEEP SCHOLARSHIP UP TO DATE: Whenever you move, change cell phone or email, you must advise the scholarship by resubmitting a corrected Applicant Information form.

SUBMIT TERM AND MID-TERM MARKS: While on the scholarship, you are expected to regularly submit term and mid-term marks in the format prescribed elsewhere.

EXPECTATION: We expect our scholars to be involved with the scholarship and to attend most, if not all, of our organized activities.

INVITATION TO A BOARD ACTIVITY: Invitation does not signify selection as a scholarship winner.

BOARD DECISIONS ARE FINAL.
